Jades Hip Hop Academy About Us

Jade's Hip Hop Academy is the fastest growing studio in the GTA and the only all Urban Dance Studio in Brampton.The Owner and Artistic Director of Jade's Hip Hop Academy is Jade Jager Clark. A self taught dancer who started dancing, teaching and choreographing all at the same time at the mere age of 14.

Jade's Hip Hop Academy opened it's door in 2006. Operating only 2 nights a week with 18 students it soon found out it needed to expand.

In 2007 Jade's Hip Hop Academy opened it's new facility at 12 Bram Court unit 2 in Brampton with a Grand Opening. Offering classes in Recreational Hip Hop for students ages 3 and up, Pre-Competitive Hip Hop for ages 8-18 and Competitive Hip Hop for ages 8-20.

By December 2007 student count rose to 64.

The Competitors competed in 2008 in 5 different competitions. Despite the fact that most dancers were only in their first year and some of them in their second year at the Academy, dancers came home after most competitions with a first place trofee. Some of them even qualified at The Canadian National Dance Competition to represent Canada at the World Hip Hop Championships in Germany.

The season 2007/2008 ended with a very successful year end recital called "Launch 2008". We

needed two nights at the Cyril Clark Theatre to accomodate all visitors. All dancers, recreational,

pre-comp and competitive performed together in this one and a half hour show.

Jade's Hip Hop Academy is known for teaching Authentic Hip Hop. Dancers get thaught all the

techniques which is involved in Hip Hop including Popping, Locking, Krump and Breakin.

Due to the success of the Academy we received a lot of request to perform at different events. We therefore created in 2008 beside the recreational and competitive teams "performance teams". The performing teams have dancers of different ages. Dependable on the request, we can split up teams by age, join them together as one, have several teams performing or just one.

The season 2008/2009 looks even more promising. The student count now reach the 100.

The year 2009 became the year of recognition of what true Hip Hop is as many people recognized the teaching and choreography from Jade Jager Clark as they watched Randy Jackson presents American Best Dance Crew.

Jerome is currently an active (competitive) bboy who has been bboying for over 10 years and won countless bboy competition around the GTA. He has knowledge of bboyin/girlin (breakin) history and is determined to spread this knowledge to educate and raise awareness of true hip-hop.

Jade's passion is bringing the real street Hip Hop to the studio. For more than six years she teaches and

choreographs Hip Hop routines. Jade is known for her inticrate exceptional choreography and is awarded for

teaching authentic Hip Hop. Jade herself is a three time Provincial Champion and represented Canada in the World
